Raphi made Aliya with his wife in 1991. A cancer survivor, he holds degrees in accounting, business management and economics as well as black belts in Karate and Jujitsu

Israel Kanner, PhD

Program Coordinator & Instructor


Israel is a lifelong practitioner, teacher, and scholar of Chinese martial arts and Qigong. He began his training in Israel and later deepened it in China and Taiwan. His interest in the theories and history of the practice drove him to pursue a Ph.D. from the School of History at Tel Aviv University (TAU), and his dissertation focused on the evolution of Chinese martial arts during Late Imperial China. Israel’s M.A focused on early Chinese philosophy.

Bio: Iris brings inspiration and light as she manages social media on a volunteer basis. Her experience began with a B.A. in Computer Science and an M.A. in Communication & Technology. In addition, she has many years of experience in Information Systems and marketing operations projects management, with specialties in marketing automation.

Founder and International Director - Kids Kicking Cancer


Rabbi Elimelech Goldberg (lovingly known by thousands of children as Rabbi G.), is the founder and director of Kids Kicking Cancer, a nonprofit organization that teaches martial arts to children battling cancer as well as to those facing other serious challenges in their lives.

Meir Goldberg, has played an active role in the initial growth of the organization in Israel. In 2022 he became Chairman of the Board.

Jeff is a veteran banker, with over 40 years’ experience developing new business opportunities for Israeli banks and their clients.

Joseph Gitler

Founder & Chairman, Leket Israel


In 2003, Joseph Gitler founded Leket Israel –The National Food Bank (formerly Table to Table) as a one-man volunteer operation to respond to the paradox of growing hunger and poverty in Israel on the one hand and significant food waste on the other.

Ilan Chasen

Board Member


Ilan Chasen graduated with a degree in Economics and an Honours degree in Finance from the University of Cape Town. He served as a Manager in Deloitte’s “Innovation and New Business Development” team in Johannesburg, and later founded and headed Deloitte’s Innovation unit in Tel Aviv.

Sacha Ellerine


Sacha made aliya in 2013 from Australia. She previously studied in Brazil at the Fundaco Getulo Vargas. She is a serial entrepreneur and business angel investor.
Her family are co-owners of 2 restaurants in Raanana and her husband is a shareholder in the Ellerine Group Investment House based in South Africa, investing in listed equities, property and private equity.

Danny is founder and chairman of Budo for Peace, Chairman of Israel Life Saving Federation, a board member of the Azrieli Foundation, MWU (Maccabi World Union), ALLMEP (the Alliance of Middle East peace).

Danielle Frenkel Breiner


Danielle, is Israel’s record holder in high jump, four times Israel’s champion (twice with the left leg 2010-2011 and twice with the right leg 2020-2021), fourth place in European Championships and ranked 8th in the world.

Jeff Dykan is a Managing Partner at Vitalife since 2002


Jeff came to Vitalife with over 25 years’ experience in general management, finance, and business development in global growth companies and startups.
Jeff is Chairman of ReWalk Robotics and Trig Medical, serves on the board of directors of Regentis, and previously of Colbar (M&A J&J) and Avedro (M&A Glaukos).

Michael Silver

founder and CEO of the International Family Office


Mr. Silver was born in Johannesburg and made Aliya in 1999. Michael and his wife Fiona live in Raanana and have four children. In addition to Mr. Silvers involvement with KKCI, he is a board member of a number of other non profit organizations such as World Bnei Akiva and is the Chairman of Beit Protea which is a Retirement facility in Herzliya. Mr Silver is a founder and CEO of an international family office based in Herzliya Pituach providing services to local and international families.

Harry is a Forensic Accountant by trade and has worked for both HMRC and the IRS in the U.S. where he lived for a number of years, as well as consulting for the South African Revenue Service (SARS) As well as his Accountancy practice
