About Kids Kicking Cancer
Who are we?
Heroes Circle is an empowering multi-age community of students and instructors, who learn together how to apply techniques from the world of martial arts, meditation and guided imagery that will help deal with moments of difficulty and crisis. Participants learn the right tools for achieving inner peace in their lives and new meaning as they teach them to others. A sense of meaning significantly strengthens their own feeling of inner peace, confidence and purpose, and gives them the power to inspire others in their daily struggle.
History
In 2013 Kids Kicking Cancer Israel (RA), opened to teach Israeli children. Kids Kicking Cancer was created in 1999 by Rabbi Elimelech Goldberg, a black belt rabbi and clinical assistant professor of pediatrics. Rabbi G lost his first child to leukemia at the age of two and brings a wealth of personal experience and sensitivity to dealing with children and families facing life-threatening illness.
This program, which began with a handful of children at Children’s Hospital of Michigan, now teaches over 7,000 children in 90 hospitals and program locations in 7 countries.
Today incorporating our mantra of Power Peace Purpose, we address the needs of people of all ages and experiences teaching our techniques perfected by the pediatric cancer patients and their Kids Kicking Cancer Israel Therapeutic Martial Arts’ Instructors.
